Middlesex in conjunction with SE London Region Open Water Swimming Championships

Congratulations to all those who attended the London Region Open Water event held at the Docklands Sailing & Watersports Centre on Sunday July 6th. Swimmers representing a number of Middlesex clubs present performed above and beyond expectations and were duly rewarded with medals from both London Swimming and the Middlesex County Association. It was slightly unfortunate that the last race on the programme was affected in it's closing stages by the arrival of a rather violent thunderstorm but I hope that this did not spoil the enjoyment clearly being shown by all present on the day .
Thanks must go to all officials, a number who had travelled a fair distance to assist plus those volunteers who stepped up from those Middlesex Clubs present to assist with a number of the admin tasks on the day to make the day such a success.
Good luck to all those who qualified during the day and will be taking part in the National Open Water event due to be held in Sheffield in a couple of weeks time.
