New Poolside Passes Policy 2025

Middlesex has made some important changes regarding how Coach Passes and Team Manager Passes will be handled. Starting in 2025, passes must be applied for on a per-meet basis, ensuring all supporting staff have the required passes to access the poolside during competitions.

  • Eligibility: All coaches, team managers, and chaperones who wish to be on the poolside during events must hold a valid pass in accordance with Swim England’s Team Manager, Coach, and Chaperone Policy.
  • Pass Display: Passes must be clearly displayed at all times on the poolside. Failure to display a pass will result in removal from the pool deck. No Pass = No Access will be strictly enforced.
  • Supervision Requirements: Passes are issued to clubs to ensure swimmer safety and well-being. Clubs must ensure adequate supervision by having enough adults (coaches and team managers) on poolside, in line with Swim England’s policies and the Wavepower 2024 Safeguarding Policy & Procedures.
  • Application Deadlines: Pass applications must be submitted via the designated form no later than midnight, two weeks before the meet. Late applications will not be processed.
  • Collection of Passes: Passes will be send out via email for the applicate to print themselves. Pouches will be made available on the announcer desk should they be needed.
  • DBS Requirement: All applicants for Coach or Team Manager passes must have a valid DBS disclosure.
  • Per-Meet Basis: Passes will be issued for individual meets only. A new application is required for each event.
  • Cost: Passes will cost £6.50 each and must be paid for at the time of booking.
