THE HOME OF AQUATIC SPORT IN LONDON
Never let anybody tell you there is no such County as Middlesex. Every major sport that holds County Championships will recognise the existence of Middlesex. Bureaucracy decreed, in 1965, that it should be absorbed almost entirely into greater London with just one small Western corner being moved forcibly into Surrey. The then ASA decreed that Staines Swimming Club could, for competition purposes, still consider itself in Middlesex if it so chose. Middlesex ASA has a long and glorious history of competition. Middlesex has been home to many illustrious swimmers and can list members with success right up to Olympic Gold medals throughout its history. Middlesex is definitely still alive and well. We have an impressive record of continuously being well placed in the Annual Inter Counties Teams Event and of representation by our member clubs at both British and English National competitions.
